Paddleboarding

Paddleboarding, Canoeing, Paddleboating and building some sweet sand castles...

We had fun in the sun!

Adrian always wants to go to a beach so I was so excited when I saw my friends paddleboarding pictures from this lake that's about 25 minutes from us. We've been waiting for a day that John was home so we could take the older boys and explore this place.

It ended up being easier than I thought it would be. The boys took turns riding on the board with me.
There was a couple people with their dogs on with them, it was cute.

Such a ham :) I'm still waiting for his hair to get darker. Not sure if that's going to happen!? Or when?
Our blue eyed, blonde boy.

John took the boys canoeing. That lasted about 30 minutes, then they switched to a paddleboat.

We had amazing views. It was unbelievably relaxing and peaceful out there. We can't wait to go again (next year)!

We had a wonky paddleboat. It would barley turn and took so much energy to move the darn thing! We were whooped! I think we should all just stick with paddleboards next time.

Then we walked to the other end of the lake and chilled on the beach for a few hours.

We built an amazing castle and played in the muddy waters. Now we know we have a beach to go to next year when we need that "beach fix" :)

Love that scenery! I live in Florida where everything is flat! We love the water though and try to get to the beach as often as we can! Lakes can make for great family time too!!

That all looks super cool. I haven't had the chance to SUP. It never crossed my mind to have Riley tag along until I saw a lady paddle boarding and her son was sitting on it. Duh! I would love to do this but we'll see if we're able to before it gets too cold here in WA.
