"The secret to having it all is knowing that you already do"

What is content, what does it look like? The meaning differs for each person.

Lifestyle Inflation... ah yes, a new term I was just reading about on another blog, very interesting. Crazy as it sounds it's becoming more of a reality in today's society. But more is not necessary better, bigger is not always so great, newer, nicer and name brand this and that, doesn't always fulfill the way we'd imagine it might.

Of course it feels good to have the finer things, to treat ourselves or our kids with nice items, but I can only hope that we teach our kids that the materialistic stuff is not the important stuff. I want them to know the difference between needs versus wants. I want them to value a dollar and cherish what they have and what they receive as it may not always be the latest and greatest but to be "grateful" always... no matter what. I want them to show and express appreciation in a genuine manner.

Being happy with what they have is important. Of course it's okay to want more, it keeps us all striving and progressing and reaching for the stars or something like that. I once read that you tend to have more in life once you start wanting a little less. Makes perfect sense.

Happy Anniversary to this guy!!
7 years, 4 kids, and 3 states later, we still manage to survive and thrive and smile about it :) xoxoxo

And this little guy just started sleeping through the night this week! Finally at 15 months old, Alleluia! I'm very CONTENT with that little fact right there :)

His desire to throw this football in the air surpasses his tiny body weight.

Hi Christa,
Totally agree with you. Family and simple pleasures are the best things in life.

Hooray for your little one sleeping through the night! My 2 year old would wake up at least once in the middle of the night every single night since he was a baby, crying but several weeks ago he was finally sleeping through the night until two days ago. He has been waking up around 2:30am and about every hour after that crying. Don't know what the heck is going on.

Happy belated anniversary. You guys are such a cute couple.
