Garden of the Gods

A day trip to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. I'm happy to call the trip a great success with all 4 kids in tow. It was hot 90 degree day and the kids were wonderful troopers. It's so nice to be within a couple hour drive of all these beautiful places to visit. We haven't even put a dent in our site seeing bucket list, but we hope to take a couple of these little trips each month and work our way around this lovely state!

I left Mason's baby sun hat on the table at home. He had to sport a pair of swim trunks on his head to protect him from that blazing sun. When all else fails improvise with what you can :)

When we started getting close to Colorado Springs we saw a small cloud of smoke over one of the mountains. By the time we were done visiting the Garden, it was being evacuated and the smoke cloud was huge. This fire is actually still burning 2 weeks later. It's now one of the most destructive fires in Colorado's history. It's a very sad thing!!

There were so many trails to explore.

Cooling down with an ice cream break.

One word... Peaceful!

A real man can sport a front side baby carrier and not be embarrassed :) And even make it look good!
He's such a great dad!

I love seeing Dads with front baby carriers! Those pictures of the fires are incredible. I am keeping all of those families in my prayers.

You are so lucky to be around so many wonderful sights!
I love the picture of Dad carrying baby...you are both wonderful parents and it's evident in your children's faces, they radiate love!
Have y'all been affected by the fires? I hope you are safe and keeping cool.

Hugs!
