Vanilla French Toast

Who doesn't like French Toast?? 
This easy recipe is fantastic & we love it!

I get so tired of making the kids the same things for breakfast. This puts an awesome twist on our traditional french toast.


6 slices cinnamon raisin bread or Whole Wheat or MultiGrain (whatever you have)
1/2 cup vanilla lowfat yogurt or any yogurt (we used Stonyfield Strawberry or our homemade yogurt) or you can use plain yogurt and add a spoon full of your preserves.
1/4 cup lowfat or 2% milk
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


In a pan on the stove I stirred up our maple syrup mixed with a spoon full of our Organic blueberry jelly preserve... and YUM!

Mix It:

In a mixing bowl, beat together eggs, yogurt, milk, spices and vanilla extract. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high flame. Dunk each slice of bread in egg/yogurt mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan, sprinkle with some extra cinnamon (this house loves cinnamon!) and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot and top with extra yogurt, fresh berries or your own fruit syrup concoction.

(make it organic by just using organic products)
